Confirm the operating boundary
- Treat the tenant as the hard customer boundary. Alerts and data never cross into another tenant.
- Create licensed locations for buildings, campuses, departments, or other operational areas that may receive different alerts.
- Identify who may configure, send, cancel, and audit alerts before assigning roles.
Prepare identity and devices
- Invite the initial tenant administrators and require two-factor authentication for privileged roles.
- Keep local access available while testing, then configure and validate SSO before enforcing it.
- Generate tenant-bound Windows and macOS packages and enroll a small pilot group.
Exercise before production use
- Send a clearly labeled exercise alert to one test location.
- Verify visual delivery, acknowledgement, polling fallback, expiry, cancellation, and all-clear procedures.
- Review the audit record and document the organization’s approval and escalation process.
