Confirm the operating boundary

  • Treat the tenant as the hard customer boundary. Alerts and data never cross into another tenant.
  • Create licensed locations for buildings, campuses, departments, or other operational areas that may receive different alerts.
  • Identify who may configure, send, cancel, and audit alerts before assigning roles.

Prepare identity and devices

  1. Invite the initial tenant administrators and require two-factor authentication for privileged roles.
  2. Keep local access available while testing, then configure and validate SSO before enforcing it.
  3. Generate tenant-bound Windows and macOS packages and enroll a small pilot group.

Exercise before production use

  1. Send a clearly labeled exercise alert to one test location.
  2. Verify visual delivery, acknowledgement, polling fallback, expiry, cancellation, and all-clear procedures.
  3. Review the audit record and document the organization’s approval and escalation process.
