Why is the portal in setup mode?
Setup mode lets authorized administrators prepare and preview an intranet before staff sign-in is enabled. It is not a failure state. Complete identity, access, communication, and content checks before launch.
Why did a sensitive setting ask me to verify again?
Credential, activation, role, and security changes may require a recent security confirmation. Accounts with 2FA enter only an authenticator code; accounts without 2FA enter only their password. A recent approval can cover additional sensitive changes for a short period. Routine delivery tests and ordinary editing do not require repeated confirmation.
Can DMTG Tech bypass our SSO?
DMTG Tech support uses a separate access path that requires authorization, justification, a time limit, and audit logging. It does not create a tenant identity or silently weaken the tenant’s SSO policy.
Why is a custom domain waiting?
A custom domain is checked before certificate issuance. Its CNAME must point to the exact DMTG Tech target shown in the control panel and the public HTTP challenge must reach the service. Managed dmtgtech.com portal addresses use DMTG Tech DNS and do not use the custom-domain CNAME.
Does saving a directory source immediately import everyone?
No. Saving creates an encrypted draft. Review the provider, scope, exclusions, active-account rules, and field locks before a connection is tested and recurring synchronization is enabled.
What happens if we do not configure custom SMTP?
The tenant can use the tested shared email service when one is available. A custom SMTP connection is optional and should be activated only when the organization needs its own sender or mail routing.
